Information Technology

At ISB, students are encouraged to use and enjoy computers from Pre-School. Each student has a user profile with access and rights to various folders and software applications. The user profile includes but is not limited to:

• A personal system and E-mail account (Grade 4 onwards) that is password protected
• Web browser
  • Internet Explorer
  • Firefox
• Microsoft Windows 7 operating system
• Microsoft Office 2007 Professional Suite
• Adobe Design Premium CS5
• Access to numerous educational applications that support the teaching curriculum
• Personal drive used to store documents and a student share drive for teachers and students to share/exchange documents and information

Computer Labs

There are 5 computer labs in Reinach and 2 in Aesch. IT is taught as a subject up through Grade 8 and may be offered as an option in Grades 9 and 10. Students may also be given access to computer labs when on-line resources are needed to complete assignments in other classes.

Wi-Fi has been installed throughout the Reinach Campus to facilitate personal laptop use.
