Welcome from Middle School Principal,
Grant Fiedler

With 500 students representing more than 50 countries, our students are provided with unique life-time learning and growth opportunities. We are fortunate to be able to work with such a fine and diverse group of students. Our students are served by an excellent and diverse faculty whom themselves represent a myriad of cultural backgrounds and experiences. Typically 10 to 20 percent of our students are new to ISB annually. It is our challenge to ensure that each gets the professional support and encouragement required to enable them to transition smoothly into this educational program. Academic standards and expectations are demanding yet achievable. Students work to develop solid study practices to take full advantage of their studies. Students are expected to behave in a manner which is a credit to themselves and to do their own work, their best work, and to allow others to do their best work at all times.

ISB offers an extensive athletics, fine arts, leadership and club events which provide students the opportunity to enrich and expand their unique interests and potential. Each student is strongly encouraged to take full advantage of the wide variety of co-curricular activities offered beyond the regular academic day.

Having raised our own children in international schools on several continents, I am fully cognizant of the opportunities and challenges which await students and their parents in an international school setting. We sincerely appreciate your parental support and the confidence you place in ISB by having your child(ren) enrolled here.
