High School
Welcome from High School Principal,
Stephen Sims
Within the High School at ISB, we seek always to develop a community of adults, committed to learning.
Community
The High School community comprises students, teachers, support staff and parents. The best learning often takes place in community, so we seek to develop a mutually supportive environment that best enables all its members to go on learning.
Adults
Our students are on the verge of adulthood. This simple fact gives shape to relationships in our community: between students and their peers, students and teachers, etc. It also gives shape to our expectations regarding behaviour in and around our School.
Committed
Commitment is about the whole-hearted pursuit of a goal. In High School, we are keen to promote just this kind of approach to every aspect of our learning and life together. ISB offers a great range of educational opportunities to all members of its community and we encourage everyone to make the most of the opportunities available to them.
Learning
As a school, learning is at the heart of our life together. The pursuit of academic excellence is an essential aspect of our learning but it does not represent the whole of our learning. We seek to educate the whole person and we aim to develop learning as a lifelong approach to life.
