Library

The Libraries at ISB play a key role in student learning and developing a lifelong love of reading. Together with teachers and parents, the School Librarians support the Pre-School, PYP, MYP and IB curriculums. The Libraries offer a wide variety of resources, such as books, audio books, DVDs, etc. in many languages. The Library Catalog lists a majority of the resources housed in our Libraries.

October is International School Library Month. In October 2010, the Reinach Campus Library is very pleased to host the Italian Performance Artist, Author and Illustrator, Gek Tessaro. This program is funded by the AISB. Middle School students will have the opportunity to enjoy a unique performance by Gek, as well as sign up for an after-school ECP workshop to learn more about his performance and illustration techniques.

Throughout the school year, the Libraries host events celebrating the joy of reading such as Pre-School story time, readings and talks by visiting authors and poets, and visits from other members of our community. These varied events reflect the diversity of learning displayed by the international community at the School. Many students also volunteer to work in the Libraries.
