There are two main purposes for this position: to provide first aid and emergency care to students and staff in addition to appropriate education to the school community on health and safety matters and to provide receptionist and administrative support to the Middle School Office. The tasks include the identifying, assessing and monitoring health and safety concerns, assisting in the development and revision of school health policies and procedures, promoting positive health to the school community, providing education and support for staff and students with specific health needs such as allergy or acute and chronic disease management. On the reception/administrative side the tasks include providing general administrative support, covering the reception, welcoming and assisting parents, students and visitors, acting as a key point of contact for staff and students within the school and overseeing the student attendance. For this varied role we are looking for a registered nurse with up to date certification with strong administrative skills.
