Welcome to ISB!

ISB is the only school in the Basel region to offer three of the highly regarded International Baccalaureate programme in English:

• Primary Years Programme (Early Childhood 1 – Grade 5), offered both in English and in English-German in the Dual Language Programme.

• Middle Years Programme (Grades 6 – 10).

• Diploma Programme (Grades 11 – 12).

A strong support system is essential for academic success.We reinforce our strong academic programme with a comprehensive wellbeing programme. Our counsellors and school psychologist provide social and emotional support, helping students develop confidence, resilience, and self-esteem for life.

Inclusive Support for Every Student
As an inclusive and non-selective school, ISB welcomes students of all abilities. We offer specialist support for additional learning needs and English language development. Our team includes speech therapists, counsellors, and a school psychologist, ensuring every student gets the support they need.

Learning Beyond the Classroom
The ISB learning experience extends well beyond the classroom. We offer a rich extra-curricular program with activities ranging from sports to arts (music, drama and visual arts), clubs and service learning. Together with our Outdoor Education programme, these opportunities build confidence, creativity, and leadership beyond the classroom.
