Fees and Tuition
An Application Fee of CHF 500 per student is due for each student new to ISB or returning to ISB after an absence of more than 14 calendar months.
- The Application Fee is payable when a formal application is submitted and if the parents/guardians are not sponsored by one of the ISB shareholding companies.
- For parents/guardians who are sponsored by one of the ISB shareholding companies, ISB will raise an invoice for the Application Fee in due course.
- This one-time fee is non-refundable.
The Application Fee can be transferred as follows:
Bank Cler AG
SWIFT CODE: BCLRCHBB
IBAN CH79 0844 0697 0092 9000 0
Payable to: International School of the Basel Region
Please indicate your family name and the names of each child in order to identify the payment.
The Board of Directors has approved a 2% increase in tuition fees across all sections for the academic year 2019-20 with the exception of the Intensive Needs Programme.
The fee increase will ensure that operational costs as well as the investments necessary to maintain and further develop the academic quality of the school remain adequately funded. At the same time, this fee increase still keeps ISB at a very competitive level of tuition commensurate with fees charged by comparable international schools in Switzerland and abroad.
Payment is required prior to the first day of school.

Please beware of email hacking and attempted fraud
Cyber criminals are becoming more sophisticated and are targeting private schools around the world sending unsuspecting parents fake invoices and emails. Please read the guidelines about communications you can expect from International School Basel (ISB) in regards to fees and invoices.
Tuition costs paid by the Canton Baselland to ISB
Please note that a vote in September 2017 decided that no subsidy will be made for private school students by the Canton Baselland as of 2017/18 school year onwards unless they fall under the category “Hardship Cases”. However, private school students who received the subsidy in the school year 2016-17 will continue to receive contributions during a transitional period of two years, for 2017/18 and 2018/19. If you have further questions in this respect, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
