Outside the Classroom
Middle Years Programme
The International Baccalaureate (IB) Middle Years Programme helps students aged 12 – 16 years connect their learning to the real world, preparing them for a life beyond school.
Students in Grades 6 – 10 develop as active, internationally minded learners who empathise with others and pursue meaningful lives. The MYP encourages students to explore important local, national, and global issues, fostering creativity, critical thinking, and reflection.
Core Subjects
The Middle Years Programme (MYP) consists of 8 subject groups, providing a broad and balanced education. In addition, students in Grades 6 – 8 have an additional co-curricular group of activities known as "Z-Block".
CONNECTING LEARNING WITH THE REAL WORLD
Service is a key required component of the IB MYP for all students in Grades 6 – 10. It encourages students to connect classroom learning with real-world issues, promoting responsible citizenship.
