Student Film Society - Sadie the Sadist

ISB aims to enhance student life by providing students the opportunity to join clubs and societies. Film society has been very busy lately in that they produced a 15 second horror film in order to compete in a worldwide competition. We interviewed the two students who were the minds behind the idea & who were in charge of production (filming) and asked them about the experience and thought process.

Looking Back - Interview with Anne O'Hara, ISB Staff Member

Anne O'Hara joined ISB in November, 1990 after having worked in a small publishing firm upon arrival in Basel. Anne began her tenure in the ISB in the ECP department, in which she was responsible for Administration and Finance, and has since been working in Accounts Payable in Reinach. Anne enjoys the birthday celebrations and nights out that take place outside of the office environment.

Dragons' Digest SGIS Tournament 7 November 2019

Last weekend, the ISBasel Athletic teams took part in the annual SGIS tournament all around Switzerland, including Reinach. All teams were very successful with the Girls Varsity volleyball team securing second place and the Boys Varsity volleyball team winning the tournament! The Girls Varsity football team won their tournament after a nail biting finish and the Middle School 1 Girls football team came home with gold too! Congratulations to our ISBasel athletes for a successful weekend and their hard work, dedication & enthusiasm. Many thanks to all parents who came to support our teams at the home matches, we really appreciate it!

Looking Back - Interview with Lloyd Hacker, Teacher

Lloyd Hacker has started his 30th year at the ISB and a lot has changed in his time here. When he started, he used to be the only Science teacher and taught General Science to all grades in the Senior School. Lloyd has seen a tenfold increase in the senior school's population from a low 60 to a high 600. Lloyd has taught Kobe Bryant, former American basketball player, and when he met the Director of the ISB for the first time, he was riding a tandem!
